Great article, Jonathan Kay. One of the reasons I became such a fan of the IDW (and yours as well) was because I’ve experienced a little bit of the ideological cognitive dissonance that it’s members have been wrestling with.

I used to work at a startup in Silicon Valley, but quit last year partly because of how close-minded and intolerant the environment was. I tried speaking out against some of these ill-defined ideas and buzzwords (toxic, problematic, privilege, diversity/inclusivity, implicit bias, etc.) but was largely ignored or ridiculed. It wasn’t until after I quit that I felt truly comfortable telling them how I really felt about the confining culture that was growing in SV.

Anyway, keep up the good work, and don’t stop questioning!
