My dear Cousin Vira,

It is the night before a battle against the scourge of wokeness. The moon is shining through the soft haze with brightness almost prophetic, and white enough for Woke Folk to accuse of upholding white supremacy. For the last half hour, I have stood alone in the awful stillness of its glimmering light gazing upon the strange sad scene around me striving to say, “millionaire athletes — even black athletes — aren’t enslaved or oppressed in any way.”

Tomorrow, we launch our snickering blitzkrieg on former football player Colin Kaepernick, whose latest Netflix limited series, Colin in Black & White, features a segment where he compares trying out for the NFL to being sold in a slave auction…for some reason.

I know it sounds brazenly stupid, even for the woke, but here it is in all of its cringey glory:

Maybe I’m dense, but I fail to see how playing in the NFL, one of the most famed and lucrative jobs that’s ever been created, can possibly be equated to suffering in one of the most egregious atrocities ever committed by man. But then again, in this topsy-turvy war where words are as pliable as taffy, it’s no surprise that the concept of “privilege” has been mangled so.

And as if that weren’t enough, the ivory tower critics — those cretins who’ve never put a hammer to a nail or had to wait in line at the Dollar Tree — are singing the praises of this garbage parading as art.

Us commoners, though, we’re not so easily fooled by such digital refuse, as you can tell by the audience score.

Already the roll of the moving artillery is sounding in my ears. The battle draws near and I must catch one hour’s sleep for tomorrow’s Twitter strife.

Good night dear cousin.

Yours in love,

JG
