You make a good point comparing cancel culture to sleazy paparazzis — it’s all about getting attention by shining a spotlight on the flaws of public figures. It’s completely devoid of honor and humanity.

I believe that there is still time to stop this before it becomes the new norm, and is a big part of why I started The Reckless Muse publication here on Medium — to fight back against this dangerous new fad and to encourage artists and creators to refrain from giving in to the mob. Hopefully more people realize just much of a threat cancel culture is to art and pop culture and speak out against it.
