Yes, as an old school hippie liberal myself, it's been frustrating seeing NPR latch onto a fashionable and pernicious set of beliefs. They were poised to be one of the few links between the Left and the Right -- an outlet that explored the complexities of American culture in a way that was both sophisticated yet accessible.

And I'm sorry that the literary world has become so broken in recent years, too. Hopefully some brave soul will stand up and call that shit out...
