Creative people often dabble in weird, disturbing, and kinky behaviors, and I think that we as a society should be at least a little more forgiving towards them for being so out there. In fact, I think most of us get a slight kick out of the fact that so many of them can get away with some things that regular people can’t.

That being said, if a celebrity engages in criminal behavior, they should absolutely be held accountable. And I really do hope that Louis CK has learned from this — he’s got so much more scrutiny on him now that he’d be a complete idiot if he repeated the behavior that got him in trouble the first time.
